Eliminate Fleas in Your Yard with Water

Fleas are pretty much disgusting. Especially when you have pets, fleas are definitely a concern; so, how then can you prevent and rid yourself of fleas in your yard, consequently preventing those fleas from dwelling on your pet. The method is quite simple actually and if you act now, you will most likely find success!

Your number one tool in your quest for flea extermination: water. That's right—your everyday H2O can be used as a weapon against the common flea. How does this work might you ask? Well, it's simple really. When the flea season starts (usually early spring), take your garden hose and essentially flood your yard. This may not be ideal for the gardener, but if drowning the yard is just too much for you, then stock up on the supplies needed to rid your pet of fleas.

When flooding the yard, you don't need to completely inundate the entire lot; rather, flood the areas your dog frequents. Observe your dog for a day or two and find out where it best likes to go when in the yard. When you have the hose in hand, then you can proceed to attack the most likely areas. After the water dries up the fleas will dry up with it. If you have issues with drowning fleas, just remember that these fleas are parasites and will make not only your dog miserable, but you by pet-owner extension.

Fleas are fun for no one, and so whatever you can do to prevent fleas from attaching themselves to your pet, you should do. Wiping out fleas from your yard with water is one of the easiest ways to go about your flea extermination. You should do it regularly throughout the spring, summer, and early fall, to fully prevent flea infestations and you'll be left with a happy, flea-free dog!
