Removing Fleas from Your Dog's Kennel

Fleas are pretty much disgusting. Especially when you have pets, fleas are definitely a concern; so, how then can you prevent and rid yourself of fleas in your yard, consequently preventing those fleas from dwelling on your pet. The method is quite simple actually and if you act now, you will most likely find success!

You wouldn't allow fleas in your home so chase them away from your dog's house, too. If you are trying to win the war on fleas and your dog uses a kennel then you need to treat the kennel as well as the dog. Something important to do is to treat your dog and your dog's kennel on the same day; if you don't, then one will affect the other pretty quickly.

Try the water trick with getting rid of the fleas inside the actual kennel. Over the course of a few days, spray the kennel all over with water, essentially flooding it so you drown the fleas. (For an added measure, add some pine straw and salt in all the little nooks and crannies of the kennel). On the first day you inundate the kennel, you need to wash your dog and use lukewarm water and a good dog soap; the combination of the lukewarm water and the soap will act as an agent to kill the fleas that reside on your dog. If you want to really ensure flea-extermination, you should also use a flea dip on your dog. Flea dips can be found in any pet aisle.

As concretely established, fleas are gross, and both you and your dog want to avoid them at almost any cost. Getting rid of fleas isn't impossible, and once you put in the effort, you and your dog will be so glad you did.
